If you are interested in a short jaunt, Jurassic Trail might be the one for you. It’s only two miles long, and it’s a flat path to walk on. As a bonus, this trail starts just off at The Peak Resort and Spa, so you have very few excuses not to try it out.
Bear Creek Trail
This is one of the best popular hikes in the Telluride, Colorado area and for a good reason. It’s more than five miles long, and it features a waterfall too. This trail also connects to the Wasatch Trail and Bridal Veil Basin.
Hope Lake Trail
The Hope Lake Trail is a treat. If you venture on this path, you will see San Miguel Peak and Sheep Mountain in the distance. This six-mile trek is not to be overlooked.
Prospect Trail
This is a longer trail that spans more than eight miles long, but it will give you a good picture of the area surrounding The Peaks Resort and Spa. It’s also not a difficult trail to navigate. Besides the length, there isn’t a lot of elevation. It will give you time to breathe in the crisp winter air.
Galloping Goose Trail
This trail is five-and-a-half miles long of fantastic scenic views. Try to hike it on a sunny day to see the area in the best light possible. Some areas are more technical than others, but it shouldn’t be a problem for seasoned hikers.
